YOUTH AND TEEN PROGRAMS

Bringing Jewish teens and youth together to celebrate Jewish Life and community is a special focus at Beth Ahabah. We have a full calendar of opportunities for our youth groups and teens to engage in social events and Jewish learning through fun. Check out some of our options below to see what activities your teens and youth can get involved with!

Grades 8-12

BATTY - or Beth Ahabah's Teens and Temple Youth - is Beth Ahabah's Temple Youth Group for 8th - 12th graders to come together to celebrate community and Jewish culture. Our goal is to provide fun, meaningful, and immersive Jewish programming that allows teens to explore their values and feel connected to the Jewish community.

BATTY programs are created for teens, by teens. All programming for the 2019-2020 was designed by our teen leadership to ensure that we are providing activities and information that teens are interested in and excited about. All events are open to Beth Ahabah teen members and select events are open to unaffiliated teens who are looking to connect to the Jewish community in Richmond. Email programs@bethahabah.org for questions about BATTY Programming.

We hope to see you at our upcoming events! Register below today!

BATTY MIDDLE: GRADES 6-8

BATTY Middle is Beth Ahabah's Teens and Temple Youth Group for 6th - 8th graders. Because most of our middle school members attend weekly Religious School on Sundays, BATTY Middle comes together quarterly to focus on having fun in and out of Jewish spaces and strengthening  the friendships and bonds our middle school students have with each other.  Our goal is to provide fun, meaningful, and immersive programming that allows middle schoolers to develop a strong sense of self and feel connected to the Jewish community.

We hope to see you at our upcoming events! Register below today, and email programs@bethahabah.org for questions about BATTY Middle Programming.

BATTY Junior: GRADES 2-5

BATTY Jr. is Beth Ahabah's Teens and Temple Youth Group for 2nd - 5th graders. Because most of our BATTY Jr. members participate in weekly Religious School on Sundays, BATTY Jr. focuses on having fun in and out of Jewish spaces and strengthening  the friendships and bonds our members have with each other outside the classroom.  Our goal is to provide fun, meaningful, and immersive programming that allows our youth to explore Judaism from a social lens and feel connected to the Jewish community.

We hope to see you at our upcoming events! Register below today, and email programs@bethahabah.org for questions about BATTY Jr. Programming.
