Welcome to BATTY!
Beth Ahabah's Teen and Temple Youth Group
BATTY - or Beth Ahabah's Teens and Temple Youth - is Beth Ahabah's Temple Youth Groups. With events for grades 2-12, our goal is to provide fun, meaningful, and immersive Jewish programming that allows teens and youth to explore their values and feel connected to the Jewish community.

Grades 8-12
BATTY Teen programs are created for teens in grades 8-12 by the BATTY Teen Board. All events are open to Beth Ahabah teen members. Email Sarah at programs@bethahabah.org for questions about BATTY Programming.

BATTY: GRADES 2-7
Our younger BATTY youth group members participate in weekly Religious School on Sundays, BATTY Jr. focuses on having fun in and out of Jewish spaces and strengthening the friendships and bonds our members have with each other outside the classroom. Our goal is to provide fun, meaningful, and immersive programming that allows our youth to explore Judaism from a social lens and feel connected to the Jewish community.

URJ's NFTY-MAR
Congregation Beth Ahabah is excited to be a member of the Union for Reform Judaism and to offer teen opportunities through the NFTY-MAR (Mid-Atlantic Region) Program - there are several NFTY MAR regional weekends where students travel to other cities or camps in the Mid-Atlantic Region to thrive in a larger Jewish teen network and take part in a global Jewish movement.
L'Taken Social Justice Seminar (Confirmation Trip)
Every year Beth Ahabah’s 10th grade class goes away for a weekend to explore being Jewish and connecting with their classmates. Email programs@bethahabah.org for more information about L'Taken 2023.
Madrichim
Madrichim are 8-12th grade members of Beth Ahabah who support Religious School Teachers with classes in Hebrew, Judaics, and Prayer for our students ages 3-13.
Israel Experiences
NFTY in Israel — Summer travel experiences for American Reform teenagers. Choose from 5 specialty trips, including a visit to Eastern Europe, a high school semester, a trip through the lens of social justice, and a sci-tech Israel trip.
URJ Heller High — 4-month study in Israel with other American Reform teenagers with over 3,500 alumni since its founding in 1961, URJ Heller High (formerly NFTY-EIE) is the most experienced and most trusted high school program in Israel for meaningful Jewish learning, spiritual experiences, personal growth, and academic success.
Alexander Muss Study in Israel — Alexander Muss High School in Israel (AMHSI) offers 6-week, 8-week and full 18-week semester programs throughout each year. Study on the go with our experiential Israel Studies Curriculum, spanning 4,000+ years of Jewish and Israeli history, learning at the sites where events took place. Plus, you can earn college credit!
NFTY’s High School Leadership Summer Camp
Kutz Camp - URJ Kutz Camp brings together hundreds of the most passionate Reform Jewish teen leaders from around the world for a summer of leadership development, deep learning, and joyful Judaism.
