The Food Service Policy is available to download here.

Here are some highlights from the policy relevant to the Seder:

  • Because it is Passover, no bread or other leaven may be prepared or served at the Seder. Leaven means food containing one of the five grains – wheat, barley, oat, spelt, and rye – which have been allowed to “rise” through contact with water and/or yeast (e.g. bread, pasta/noodles, breadcrumbs, cakes, cookies, crackers). NO menu items should be included with these ingredients unless they are specifically labeled for use on Passover.

  • Label ALL food items with as many ingredients as possible. This MUST include any ingredients that are meat, dairy, nuts, and/or gluten.

We strive to separate meat and dairy in the same menu item, meaning neither poultry nor meat should be mixed with any milk product in the same menu item (fish is not considered meat). However, both meat and dairy menu items may be present at the same meal on separate platters. Individuals may choose if they wish to partake of both.
