Volunteer Choir


Location: Chapel
Day: Mondays Registration Required: No

Time: 7:00 PM

Fee / Admission: Open to the Membership

We invite you to "join" the choir in enhancing the worship experience of our Congregation. Rehearsals take place on Monday evenings from 7:00–8:30 PM in the Gumenick Chapel. For further information contact Cantor Annie Bornstein at 804.358.6757, ext. 317.

Beth Ahabah & The Central Virginia Food Bank

Beth Ahabah is collecting non-perishable food for the Food Bank. Please remember to bring a filled bag each time you come to the synagogue and support the efforts of the Central Virginia Food Bank. This Mitzvah project is sponsored by the 2007–2008 Confirmation Class.

Fall Tutoring at Carver Elementary

Date: Fall 2008- Spring 2009

Location: Carver Elementary
1110 West Leigh Street

Day: Any Day Registration Required: Yes
Time: Any Time Fee/Admission: Free

Starting in the fall, Beth Ahabah will start a mentoring/tutoring project at Carver Elementary School. We will be operating as part of the Micah Initiative, under the auspices of the Richmond Jewish Coalition for Literacy. We are looking for Beth Ahabah congregants who are willing to donate one hour per week on a regular basis to help Carver students to achieve in school. No experience or special ability is needed. We will teach you all you need to know. These children need a caring adult in their lives. View Flyer>>>

Beth Ahabah Women’s Hiking Club

Date: Fall 2008- Spring 2009

We're looking for a few good women to form a hiking club in the Richmond area. Our hikes will be based on the book 60 Hikes with 60 Minutes of Richmond and will be geared to a variety of skill levels. To meet new women, make new friends, get a bit of exercise and enjoy the outdoors e-mail Janice Freed or call 804.740.8849.
