Women of Reform Judaism
Women of Reform Judaism is the Reform congregation's international women's organization. It is a federation of over 600 Temple Sisterhoods with 100,000 members throughout the United States, Canada and overseas.
Here at Beth Ahabah, Sisterhood is the organization for women of the congregation to work and learn together in friendship and to fulfill their potential as Jewish Women. Sisterhood provides Onegs Shabbat, Model Seders, Purim Carnivals, Chanukah Shops, and other activities for the Religious School, as well as social events, educational programs, and opportunities for personal growth for members. Also, in recent years, the membership has supported important political and social issues in this country, Israel and around the world. Women of Reform Judaism at Beth Ahabah embodies all aspects of Jewish life in the Congregational Community, the Richmond Community and in our own lives.
Membership in Sisterhood is complimentary during the first year of Temple membership.
