Union for Reform Judaism

Welcome

Located in the heart of Richmond, Virginia, Beth Ahabah is a thriving Reform Jewish congregation with more than 200 years of history. In addition to weekly religious services, Congregation Beth Ahabah offers active religious school and youth group programs, adult programs (including Sisterhood, Brotherhood and adult education courses), and youth and adult choirs. We are also dedicated to participating in a variety of community service programs.

We invite you to spend some time here at our web site learning about our Congregation and its history, and we further encourage you to join us at the Temple and worship with us. More about Beth Ahabah >>

NEWS FROM THE UNION

This week the Union launched a new blog - RJ.org: News and Views of Reform Jews that will, we hope, become a free marketplace of ideas about Judaism and the role it plays in the lives of Reform Jews of all ages.  We hope the blog will serve as a platform for Reform Jews and those who care about Judaism to come together to kibbitz and learn in a safe online community. While we will have occasional posts from the leaders of the Movement's institutions, we hope that the blog will also encourage open dialogue among the members of our congregations.

We've launched the blog using postings from the 30 people who wrote for the RJ Guide to Reform Judaism: 30 Stories that is part of the summer magazine. But that is just the start! In order for the blog to succeed, we need your help. Please, help us launch this blog by reading it, commenting on the entries and posting your own submissions. If you have a blog that we have not included in our "blog roll," please let us know by sending a note to RJBlog@urj.org.
